This organizational assessment can consist of or focus on one or more of the following areas:

Several factors can support or impede the advancement of an organization. A team of IntraSpect consultants will perform a comprehensive review intended to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) that may exist within an organization with the goal of determining what is contributing to or impeding its advancement.

Our consultants will initiate a structured planning process that evaluates each of the SWOT elements. This involves specifying the objectives of the organization or project and identifying the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieve those objectives.

A goal of this analysis will be to determine the organization’s strategic fit — how well the internal environment aligns with the external environment.

Strategic fit defines the level to which an organization aligns its resources and capabilities with opportunities in the external environment. This alignment is the result of a clear strategic direction, and it is critical that the company has the actual resources and capabilities to execute and support the defined strategic direction.

A competitive and profitable advantage can result from the correct combination of resources and capabilities. It is essential, however, to differentiate between resources and capabilities.

As we move through this process, we will see a key differentiation between resources and capabilities. Resources are linked to the aspects of production output while capabilities provide a picture of learning the company possesses.

  • Strengths: Characteristics of the organization that gives it an advantage over others
  • Weaknesses: Characteristics of the organization that place it at a disadvantage relative to others
  • Opportunities: Aspects of the environment that the organization could exploit to its advantage
  • Threats: Aspects of the environment that could create impediments to the advancement of the organization

IntraSpect views organizational structure as to how activities such as work or activity allocation, coordination and oversight are directed toward the fulfillment of organizational objectives. The structure of an organization needs to be efficient, flexible and innovative to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.

An organization structures itself in many different ways, depending on its objectives. That structure will determine the manner in which it operates and performs.

Our consultants focus on the various modes related to the organization’s operational performance, determine the optimal structure and best practices and then maximize the outcomes in three ways:

  • Providing a foundation for which standard operating procedures and routines reside
  • Determining which individuals will participate in which decision-making processes and to what degree their views shape the organization’s actions and outcomes
  • Identifying key metrics with which to measure outcomes and performance

Most companies have a strategy in place to grow their business and increase sales and profits. IntraSpect believes there are specific methods most companies can use for designing and implementing a growth strategy.

The process an organization uses to grow its business depends highly on its financial situation, internal resource deployment, external aspects and events, the competition, and possibly government regulation.

IntraSPECT focuses on the following growth strategies:

  • Market Penetration
  • Market Expansion
  • Product Expansion
  • Diversification
  • Acquisition

IntraSpect believes that staffing quality may be one of the highest priorities for an organization to focus on and has a huge impact on organizational performance.

Talent acquisition and development are critical to every organization, no matter the industry. Our research tells us this is one of the top three if not the number one operational impact for many organizations. The return on investment in training has been illustrated to increase organizational value by as much as 35%.

Our services focus heavily on the assessment and development of an organization’s human asset. Our goal is to make sure the right person is in the right seat, performing at their peak proficiency. We utilize proven training and development tools and programs to facilitate the optimum development and advancement of individuals within our clients.

Learning Paths is a key tool for expediting the development of people to their optimum level of proficiency. Specific programs are offered for development and training needs of various roles within an organization. Coaching and mentoring are also critical components of our development offerings.

IntraSpect views products and services as two linked concepts. We believe that most products have some degree of service in them. We also recognize that there is a distinct difference between them.

A product is something tangible, which can be counted and measured. A service, the application of skills, experience and expertise, is less tangible. The results of applying it, however, can be seen and measured.

IntraSpect will assess in which industry our clients concentrate their resources and products and look at how and where products and services are delivered within the chosen industry.

We recognize that industry choice is driven by the client’s knowledge of the segment and the ability to competitively satisfy needs within that industry. We will work with clients to revise or develop pricing and segmentation strategies within the industry.

We will also assist with a review of products and related markets and services provided to help our clients determine best practices for bringing both products and services to the market in the most efficient and profit-producing manner.

An organization’s vision presents its purpose to employees, leaders and the marketplace at large. A highly successful vision is one that is created or at least contributed to, by all employees. It should be inspiring, clear, succinct and realistically achievable.

A strategic plan is designed to implement and execute the organization’s vision by keeping it front and center. ISA facilitates the organization’s process of developing a strategic plan by defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on deploying its assets and resources to fulfill its strategic plan.

IntraSpect works with clients to establish a vision and articulate it effectively to all stakeholders and the outside world. In addition, we will work with clients to design, develop, implement and execute a strategic plan in support of their vision.

We will facilitate a strategic direction planning process that defines an organization’s strategy or direction, and make decisions on deploying its resources to pursue and fulfill the final strategy.

Our services will also extend to control mechanisms for guiding the implementation of the strategy within the context intended. We believe this allows for the highest opportunity for success for executing the designed strategy.
